If you using the android phone just use fb lite app,and which consume less mobile data when compared to the fb app or messenger app.
But don't download any sticker maker app from play store,otherwise if this setting is missing in your profile,just go your friend avatar section and then press "Just try it" link.

But if you access this fb online website via google chrome desktop or any other web browser in your pc or laptop this option is not showing up.

how to make a facebook avatar on iphone :
1.This feature is already rolling out for all android mobile devices.
2.But in few days back august 2022 this avatar sticker is also available in iphone ios 12,13 and ios 14 platforms.
3.If you want to get this new update,first of all check if you're using the new version of facebook app or not.
4.Once you check it,just open your fb.
5.In home page section in bottom it shows some options,so here you can goto "Settings".
6.And then press arrow mark from "See More" option.
7.Finally i get this "Avatars" feature and it is placed at the second one,so just press this option.
8.Now you can create your own model,like hair style,eye brow colour,body structure and etc...
9.Once you complete your all edit processes,and click to save this changes.
10.And then click to share or post your timeline or you can make this picture as temporary profile picture.
11.Some user's are ask after i add this image,then how to delete this avatar stickers.
12.Just go to your timeline section and then select that avatar.
13.And it shows the option called "Delete",so just select it.
