How To: MAXIMIZE DOWNFORCE for Lap Time
57,660High downforce race cars (especially formula cars) require a slightly different technique to karts and low downforce cars that rely entirely on mechanical grip. Slow-in, Fast-Out is still a generally good concept to go by, but high speed corners can be maximized by keep the speed higher on entry than percievably possible in order to generate more grip via downforce. This will result in a higher entry speed, higher minimum speed, and possibly higher exit speed as well, so it's a win-win if done correctly.
