Hey! A lot of people thought this was no longer possible in the game or only possible on consoles now, but alas, here it is!

List of steps:
Controller is HIGHLY recommend since quick swapping in the store is needed
Intro (0:00)
Step 1 (0:22)
Equip a linked set on a character that ISN'T the one you want to mix sets on (EX: I want to mix sets on Cheryl, but I'm equipping Kate's Octoberfest outfit).
Step 2 (0:39)
On the other character, delink the parts of their set that YOU WANT TO KEEP on your main character (EX: I wanted the Fresh Do headpiece from Cheryl, so I delinked the torso & legs on Kate)
Step 3 (1:06)
Go back to the survivor screen and select your main character, then equip the set you want to mix in.
Step 4 (1:18)
Go back to the other character (whom you've delinked) and equip a default cosmetic on the torso to RESET the character. Then go back to the main character and the part you wanted to swap should have appeared.
Step 5 (1:41)
Now, click the head piece of the set you want to mix in, then switch to the torso section to preview your outfit. The preview is required for the next step.
Step 6 (2:05)
With your character previewed, swap to the character to the left or right and equip a piece from the section you swapped. Before the equip completes, quickly swap BACK to your character, tricking the game into equipping your previewed set on your main character.
