How to Pause Game Downloads & Updates on PS5 Console (Easy Tutorial)
13Pause from the Home Screen:
From the PS5's home screen, navigate to the game that is currently downloading.
Highlight the game's icon.
Press the Options button on your controller (the button with three lines).
Select "Pause."
Pause from the Download Queue:
From the PS5's home screen, navigate to the top right corner and select the download icon (downward arrow).
This will take you to the "Download Queue" where you can see all ongoing downloads.
Highlight the game you want to pause and press the Options button on your controller.
Select "Pause."
Pause from Notifications:
If you receive a notification that a game is downloading, you can press the PlayStation button on your controller to bring up the Control Center.
Select the notification related to the download.
Choose "Pause" from the options.
