In this video, I'm going to show you how to archive chats permanently on WhatsApp. So let's open up the WhatsApp app on our phone. Long press on a profile that you're wanting to archive. Tap on the Selected icon with the downward arrow, this is the archive icon. Scroll, a little to the bottom of the screen.


Tap on archived. So at the minute, if I was to receive a new message from my newly archived profile, Then watch what happens. It automatically comes out of the archived folder and goes into your normal chats. So what we need to do is tap on the three dots, in the top right corner.


Then tap on Settings. Click into Chat. And make sure you select the setting that says keep chats archived. Switch this on. Now, let's go back and repeat the process. You will now notice that whenever a new message is sent to the newly archived profile that it will stay in the archived folder.
