To ping locations or items in Fortnite, follow these steps:

Launch Fortnite and enter a game.
Use the middle mouse button to place a ping on the map or an item.
Double-tap the middle mouse button to mark an enemy location 1.
If you’re playing on a console, the process is slightly different. On Xbox and PlayStation, you need to press the left key on the D-pad of your controller over an item you want to ping.
