To fix the issue of accepting friend requests not working in Fortnite, you can try the following steps:

Check if you have reached the maximum limit of 500 friends or 500 pending outgoing requests. If so, delete some outgoing requests and/or prune your friend list to below 500.

Ensure that your privacy settings or parental control settings are not blocking you from accepting or adding friends. Check your privacy settings and make sure that you’ve enabled every option that has something to do with friend requests. Find the “Require PIN to Add Epic friends” option and disable it.

If the above steps do not work, try turning off the ‘Show Social Notification’ setting in the ‘Account and Privacy’ tab of the Settings menu
