Today you will learn in a concise way how to play Battleship Cardgame from Hasbro.
This is the card game version of the classic battleship game that simplifies the rules and the setup. This is a 2 player cardgame where you have to sink 5 of your opponents ships by using peg cards. Each ship discovered have powers that help you attacking your opponent.

Battleship Card game Instructions
Each player choose a color
Separate your coordinate cards from battle cards
Shuffle the coordinate cards and place them face down in front of you in a 3x4 grid like this
Then shuffle your battle cards placing them facedown near the center of play
Each player draws 5 cards from their respective decks
And now you are ready to learn how to play
Battleship game rules
Your goal is to sink all five of your opponents’ ships
The younger player goes first
On your turn, you must play one card
White peg cards are played by tapping a face down card in your opponents grid to reveal hidden enemy ships
Reveal the card, keeping it face up for the rest of the game
Discard the white peg card afterwards
Red peg cards are played by sliding them under a revealed enemy ship to deal damage
Red peg cards remain under the revealed ship and if a ship has at least as many pegs as the ship card, the ship is sunk
For example,
this destroyer has 3 pegs
On one turn, the opponent plays a 2 red pegs card
on their next turn, they play a 1 red peg card for a total of 3 red pegs
the destroyer is sunk
Place the sunken ship card and the pegs on the discard pile
Note that you can also play red peg cards to search for enemy ships
If it’s a miss, discard it
If it’s a hit, damage is dealt as described before
You can also play power cards
The shield can be played on any revealed ship and your opponent must play enough pegs to destroy the shield before they can attack the ship
Note that placing a shield on a ship that already has damage, does not remove the damage
The discard or play two card allows you to either discard one or more white peg cards to draw the same amount when reloading your hand or play 2 cards in your turn
And the repair or draw three allows you to either repair a ship by removing one peg card from a damaged ship or draw 3 cards from your deck, then play one of them, keeping the remained in your hand
Once you have finished playing a card, draw cards until you have 5 in hand then it’s your opponent’s turn
If your draw pile runs out, form a new one by shuffling your discard pile
The first player to sink all five of their opponent’s ships wins the game!
Once you are familiar with the gameplay, you can play with the ship powers
each ship has a special power that is in play from the moment the ship is revealed until it’s sunk
If a submarine is revealed, only white peg cards can damage i
if a pt boat is revealed, at the start of your turn, remove one peg card from any one of your revealed ships
Note that the power doesn’t work with shields
If it’s a destroyer, you may now play white and red peg cards to deal damage (the only expection is the submarine)
if it’s a battleship, add one red peg to each of your red peg cards
for example, a 2 peg card now counts as a 3 peg card
and if it’s the aircraft carrier, at the end of your turn, you can draw up to 7 cards instead of 5
