How to Play Mouse and Keyboard on PS5 Supported Games (Text Chat Easy)
To play PS5-supported games using a mouse and keyboard, you'll need to follow a few steps to set it up properly:
1. Check Game Compatibility
Not all PS5 games support mouse and keyboard input. Before setting things up, make sure the game you want to play allows this control method. Some popular games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XIV offer this support.
2. Connect the Mouse and Keyboard
You can connect your peripherals to the PS5 via USB or Bluetooth:
USB Wired Connection:
Plug the mouse and keyboard into the USB ports on the front or back of the PS5.
The PS5 should automatically recognize the devices.
Bluetooth Wireless Connection:
Go to Settings on your PS5.
Navigate to Accessories - Bluetooth Accessories.
Turn on your Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and put them into pairing mode.
Select the mouse and keyboard from the list of available devices.
3. Adjust Mouse and Keyboard Settings
Once connected, you may want to adjust the sensitivity and other controls:
Go to Settings - Accessories - Controllers - Mouse or Keyboard.
Adjust sensitivity, key mappings, and other preferences depending on your setup.
4. Switch Input Method in the Game
If the game supports both controller and mouse/keyboard input, it might automatically switch when you move the mouse or press a key. Some games might require you to switch control methods in the game settings.
5. Enjoy Your Game
Once everything is set up, you should be able to play PS5 games using your mouse and keyboard without issues!
