πŸ”‘ Want to capture what’s happening on your screen for a tutorial, presentation, or troubleshooting? Windows 11 provides a built-in screen recording feature through the Xbox Game Bar. Here's how you can use it to record your screen effortlessly.

Steps to Record Your Screen on Windows 11:
Open Xbox Game Bar: Press Windows key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar. If it doesn’t open, you might need to enable it first in the settings:

Go to Settings β†’ Gaming β†’ Xbox Game Bar and toggle it On.
Select Screen Recording Option: Once the Game Bar is open, you will see various widgets. Look for the Capture widget (it looks like a camera icon). If you don’t see it, click on the Widget Menu button (four horizontal lines) and select Capture.

Start Recording: In the Capture widget, click on the Start Recording button (a circle icon), or press Windows key + Alt + R to begin recording.

Record the Screen: The screen recording will begin. You can continue to use your computer while the screen is being recorded. The Game Bar will also display a small recording timer at the top-right corner of the screen.

Stop Recording: To stop the recording, click the Stop Recording button in the Game Bar or press Windows key + Alt + R again.

Locate Your Recording: After stopping the recording, your video will be saved automatically. You can find it in the Videos folder under Captures.

πŸ’‘ Tip: The Xbox Game Bar recording tool is great for capturing apps and games, but it may not work for certain protected content like videos or streaming. For more advanced screen recording features, you might want to explore third-party apps.
