π Want to capture whatβs happening on your screen for a tutorial, presentation, or troubleshooting? Windows 11 provides a built-in screen recording feature through the Xbox Game Bar. Here's how you can use it to record your screen effortlessly.
Steps to Record Your Screen on Windows 11:
Open Xbox Game Bar: Press Windows key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar. If it doesnβt open, you might need to enable it first in the settings:
Go to Settings β Gaming β Xbox Game Bar and toggle it On.
Select Screen Recording Option: Once the Game Bar is open, you will see various widgets. Look for the Capture widget (it looks like a camera icon). If you donβt see it, click on the Widget Menu button (four horizontal lines) and select Capture.
Start Recording: In the Capture widget, click on the Start Recording button (a circle icon), or press Windows key + Alt + R to begin recording.
Record the Screen: The screen recording will begin. You can continue to use your computer while the screen is being recorded. The Game Bar will also display a small recording timer at the top-right corner of the screen.
Stop Recording: To stop the recording, click the Stop Recording button in the Game Bar or press Windows key + Alt + R again.
Locate Your Recording: After stopping the recording, your video will be saved automatically. You can find it in the Videos folder under Captures.
