In this video I show you how to refund games on Steam. To refund Steam games you’ll need to go to your account details and select purchase history. This will open a new page where you can view all your Steam purchases.

Next you will need to select the game that you want to refund then choose the “I want a refund option”. Doing so will load a new set of options where you will need to select “I’d like to request a refund”. This will open a form that you will need to complete to refund the game.

When requesting a refund you will see where your refund, if granted, will be going to. By default it will often be set to Steam Wallet. However, in some cases you have the option to choose where the refund will go.

Additionally, to be eligible for a refund the game will need to have been purchased within the last 14 days. Furthermore, you will need to have less than 2 hours playtime in the game. However, you are still capable of receiving a refund even if you don’t meet the requirements.

You can view your playtime on the refund page, or from your Steam library. When a game is selected you will be able to see your total play time. Additionally, playtime is the amount of time you’ve spent in the game or with the game open.

After you have requested a refund you will need to wait for approval. If approved your refund will begin to be processed. If you meet the refund requirements then you'll likely receive an update within a few days. However, it may take longer. Additionally, the refund may also take a few days or even longer to be completed. Typically, if you're refunding to your Steam wallet then you'll likely receive a refund fairly quickly.
