How To Remove Beta Software From iPhone and iPad
Todays iPhone tutorial will teach you how to remove beta software from iPhone and iPad. Removing the beta profile fixes possible issues when trying to update to full versions of iOS.
Notes:
Depending on what version of iOS or iPadOS you had installed prior to installing the iOS 17 beta, you will need to follow one of 2 steps.
iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4 or newer - You will turn off Beta updates from Settings - General - Software Updates. You then want to restore your backup that you hopefully saved prior to installing iOS 17 beta. Otherwise you will not be able to revert back to iOS 16.4 and you will have to wait for the full version of iOS 17 to be released. Today we are demonstrating how to remove iOS 17 beta from iPhone but it is the same process for all iOS betas and iPads
iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3 or older - You will remove the beta profile from Settings - General - VPN & Device Management. From here you will tap on your beta profile and tap remove profile. You then can restore from a previous backup to revert back or wait for the full version of iOS 17 to be released.
Hopefully this short tutorial taught you how to remove beta software from iPad and iPhone. If you had any issues or questions be sure to leave a comment and I will do my best to troubleshoot the issue.
