Do you sometimes hand over your iPhone or iPad to a friend or family member and worry they might stumble upon some private photos through the Spotlight search? Don't panic. Thankfully you can easily remove photos from the Spotlight search results on your iPhone or iPad.

Now let's walk through the steps to remove photos from the Spotlight search results on your Apple iPhone or iPad.

Step 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. You'll land on your Settings menu.

Step 2. Scroll down this menu and then tap "Siri and Search." The Siri and Search screen is shown.

Step 3. Scroll down this screen until you see Photos, and then tap "Photos." The Photos screen is displayed.

Step 4. Navigate to the While Searching section, and then tap to toggle off "Show App in Search." Going forward, neither the Photos app nor any of your photos and videos associated with the Photos app will be shown in Siri Spotlight search results.
