In this video I'll show you how to remove someone from a group chat on your Apple iPhone or iPad. The only requirement to be able to do this is that the group must have four or more people and everyone must be using an Apple device, like an iPhone or an iPad. Unfortunately, the only option to remove someone from a group chat if the chat you want to remove someone from doesn't meet those conditions is to start a new group chat and exclude the person or people you want to remove from the original group chat.

Step 1. Open the group text message chat on your Apple iPhone or iPad that you want to remove someone from.

Step 2. Tap the group name at the top of this screen. A window opens showing you details and options associated with this specific group text message chat.

Step 3. Scroll down this menu and then tap the gray arrow next to the count of people in this chat. You'll see a full list of everyone who's currently in this group text message chat.

Step 4. Find the person you want to remove from the chat, and then swipe slowly from right to left across this person's name until you see a red Remove button.

Step 5. Tap "Remove." A window pops up asking if you're sure you want to remove this person from this conversation.

Step 6. Tap "Remove" again. That person will be removed from this group chat going forward.
