This video will show you how to replace the imposed Overdrive drum fill rainbow-lane freestyle sections in RockBand 3 with a simple green crash cymbal hit to deploy Star Power (i.e. Overdrive). For those familiar with The Beatles: Rock Band, this is how Beatlemania (Star Power / Overdrive) was deployed on drums in that game (i.e. no drum fill rainbow-lane freestyle sections, but rather a simple green crash cymbal hit to deploy Beatlemania). Preferring to drum all songs in Rock Band 3 as faithfully as possible to the original music track, I very much prefer replacing Overdrive drum fill sections with simple green crash cymbal hits.

Note that this video applies to all supported game consoles (Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360)
