This video will show you how to access your Wi-Fi wireless router using a Windows-based machine, as well as how to restrict access to your wireless network to only devices you pre-approve using a technique called wireless MAC address filtering. Forget which ip address accesses your wireless router? Lost your router's install / setup CD and want to access your wireless router through a web browser? Afraid that a password or passkey is not secure enough to prevent hackers from hacking into your wireless router and wish to add an additional layer of security? Wish you could choose which specific devices got access to your wireless network while blocking out all other devices from accessing it, even if the unwanted guests already have the SSID and password / passkey? This video will hopefully answer all of these questions and more, all while instructing you through a slow, detailed, step-by-step approach.
Please note that the first 5 minutes and 20 seconds of this video describes what wireless MAC filtering is as well as how to find information specific to YOUR router online (pertaining to which encryption and password / passkey type to use). If you'd rather just get to the 'how to' portion of this video, please fast forward to 5:20
