This video will show you how to resolve the following error when installing either BattleField P4F or BF Heroes:
Just-In-Time Debugging
Please select a debugger.
Possible Debuggers:
New instance of Microsoft Script Editor
Set the currently selected debugger as the default.
Do you want to debug using the selected debugger?
Essentially (for those of you who would rather read instructions than watch a video) you would have to either open your INTERNET OPTIONS from your Microsoft Windows' CONTROL PANEL, or open up the options / settings in MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER (even if you do not use Microsoft Internet Explorer to browse the web, these settings {once again set exclusively in Microsoft Internet Explorer} control how your computer connects to networks and the Internet, even when using different web browsers and programs). Within the INTERNET PROPERTIES window that comes up, click on the ADVANCED tab (in the upper right) and ensure that the following two options are checked (selected):
Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
Disable Script Debugging (Other)
Once that has been completed, click on APPLY followed by OK. From this point on, reboot your computer, then once again visit the BattleField Heroes or the BattleField Play4Free website (dependent on which title you wish to install), once again begin the installation process, and from this point forward the installer should install your selected game without encountering this error and without halting (hanging) the installation process as it did with every previous attempt before these options were set.
Please note that the installer for both games do not give much information output as far as download and installation progression goes, and therefore on multiple occasions afterwards, it may appear as if the installation process has once again hung, however please note that it is not out of the ordinary to wait up to five hours for the download and installation process to complete, even with long delays before advancement is shown in the progression bar and/or downloaded filename. With this being said, it is best to not sit by the computer waiting for the download to complete, and only if after a couple of hours of waiting you see that no progress is being made on the progress bar can you conclude that the installer has once again hung for apparently a different problem altogether.
