2I have had this meter around for a long time but never really got into using it because it was dead...but today I decided I would have a look inside...one of the screws was missing...but after I opened it up for the first time I found that the battery it used was not typical, but instead it was the sort I had sitting around to go into a garage door opener remote...not sure the model of the battery...it is shorter than most, but similar to the AAA in circumference...but then again, not all meters will have this same battery...the gist of this is...be careful...find an appropriate screwdriver, be careful and see what you need to replace the dead batteries...I am not sure if this ever had a battery in it...certainly there were no signs of corrosion...and that is good! I will let you know how it works and what I use if for as time goes on...
