How to ride a strider in 6 steps! [Minecraft] | The Potato Fields Episode 6
17There's a new Nether-update! And so far I love it! New biomes like the warped and crimson forest, striders that you can ride on, Piglings, Hoglins and new structures! And that's only what I know of, I'm sure there's much more in the Nether-update!
Ofcourse everyone wants to ride one of those (cute) striders! And it is my duty as a professional Minecraft gamer to teach you how, so let's go!
0:00 - New Skin!
0:28 - Step 1: Reset The Nether!
Your old world will also still have the old nether, so it's very important that you reset it before updating your world.
I went into my world folder and deleted the contents of ''DIM-1'' ( Ofcourse make sure you have a back-up of your world in case stuff goes wrong. )
1:46 - Step 2: Buy a Name Tag!
If you were following my guide correctly, you should have a pet hoglin by now. He will despawn if you don't name tag him! So go ahead and buy one of your villagers which we covered in one of the previous episodes.
If you don't have enough emeralds, I have also covered a solution for extreme cheapskates!
3:57 - Step 3: Have Fun in The Nether!
I have noticed... that the nether... ain't that much fun...
I've traveled in the Soul Sand Valley, had no fun...
I've traveled in the Crimson Forest, had no fun...
I've traveled in the Warped Forest, had no fun...
I've traveled in the Basalt Deltas, had no fun...
My point is, the nether is no fun at all, it's a horrible place!
7:07 - Step 4: Put The Shaders Back On!
What's Minecraft without shaders? A fun but not so good-looking game, but!
With shaders it becomes a very fun and very good looking game! So put them on!
8:40 - Step 5: Build a Base In The Nether!
You gotta be safe from those hoglins and piglins! Unfortunately for me, they know how to use doors.
9:27 - Tame A Strider!
In order to ride a strider, you'll first have to tame a strider!
You can easily achieve this by putting a saddle on it and then wave a warped fungus in front of it with a fishing rod...
Then ride into glorious battle! Have fun!
