PaperMC is easily the best way to run a Minecraft server whether that be on your local machine or on a hosted server. In this guide we will go over the simple steps to running this Bukkit fork on your computer.

Download at https://techhut.tv

1. Download PaperMC.
2. Place the download file in a folder where all your server files will be located.
3. Create a run batch file. To do this you just need to open up notepad and paste in the code below making sure that the file name matches the name of the .jar you downloaded
4. Click ‘Save As…’ and save the file as run.bat in the same folder that you placed the downloaded .jar file.
5. Run the .bat file.
6. When it automatically closes open ‘eula.txt’. Change ‘eula=false’ to ‘eula=true’ and save the file.
7. Run the run.bat file again and it will download all the files you will need and open up a GUI to help you run the server.

That it! You’re now running a server! You can connect to your server by typing in “localhost” in the direct connect section in Minecraft. I’d suggest you check out the various server property files and make any edits you’d like. I recommend checking out Notepad++ for making these edits.
