If you want to access and manage your iCloud photos on a Windows PC, this video shows you exactly how to set it up using the official iCloud for Windows app available through the Microsoft Store. Whether you’re syncing pictures from your iPhone or organizing albums from iCloud.com, this process allows you to browse and download iCloud photos directly through File Explorer on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer.

To get started, open the Microsoft Store and search for iCloud. Select the official iCloud for Windows app from Apple Inc., then click Get or Install to begin downloading it. Once the app has been installed, launch it and sign in with your Apple ID—the same one you use on your iPhone or iPad.

After signing in, you'll see several sync options including iCloud Drive, Photos, Mail, and more. To enable photo syncing, check the box next to Photos. Then click the Options button beside it to configure more settings. Make sure iCloud Photos is turned on. You also have the option to enable Shared Albums, Download HDR videos, and High Efficiency Format (HEIF/HEVC) downloads depending on your preferences and available storage.

Click Done, then Apply to save your settings. Once enabled, your iCloud photos will automatically sync and be accessible via File Explorer. Simply open File Explorer, click on the iCloud Photos folder located in the left-hand panel, and you’ll be able to view and manage your downloaded and uploaded iCloud images from your PC.

This is a great way to keep your iPhone photos available on your Windows system without manual transfer, making cross-device syncing much easier.
