How to Setup Cloud's New Kill Confirm
1,073After this last patch for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, a lot of people have been asking for a video on his new kill confirms with Finishing Touch. This is a quick look at how to set up tech chase scenarios with Cloud and potentially make use of his new Jab1 - Finishing Touch. Some things to note:
- The Jab1 - FT confirm was a thing pre-patch, it just was inconsistent. Now it works consistently on all the cast as a true kill confirm.
- When jab locking with Cloud, you're best doing Jab1 as Jab2 usually sends the opponent too far away from Cloud. There are time when even Crosslash will miss after a Jab2, but it's extra saucy so I go for it a lot anyways.
- Nair and Bair are your most consistent tech chase setup moves.
- Back Throw can set up tech chase situations, however it is the easiest to react to. Additionally, you can DI the throw Up to avoid the tech chase setup and some lighter characters can just jump before hitting the ground entirely.
