To set up the PS5 media remote control, follow these steps:

Insert the batteries into the remote and switch on the PS5 with the DualSense controller.

Go to Settings and Accessories on the PS5 and select the Media Remote option.

Press the PS button and the Options button on the remote at the same time to enter pairing mode.

Follow the instructions on the screen to pair the remote with the PS5 and the TV.

Use the remote to control the media on the PS5 and the TV.
If you want to use your TV remote to control the PS5 apps and menus, you can enable the HDMI device link option on the PS5 and the HDMI control option on the TV. This video tutorial 1 explains how to turn any TV remote into a PS5 media remote.
