There are times when we are stuck with a slow internet connection
and don’t know what to do next. And to speed up the internet using cmd, we’d have to use some of its built-in tricks. Some of these tweaks and tricks include dealing with the DNS cache, pinging to the default gateway, and using ‘netsh int tcp’ command alongside certain parameters to increase the internet speed.
CMD Commands
ipconfig /all
ping -t default gateway IP
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh interface tcp show global
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
netsh interface tcp show heuristics
netsh interface tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="StopThrottling" dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0/24,206.111.0.0/16 enable=yes
