By default, if you have an Apple iPhone and iPad that are connected to the same Apple ID, your iPad will also ring whenever you get a phone call on your iPhone and your iPad is nearby. While this will be a convenience for most people, not everyone will be a fan -- especially if your iPad is used by multiple people. Thankfully, if you don't like the feature, you can easily turn it off.
Now let's walk through the steps to stop your iPad from ringing whenever you get a phone call on your iPhone.
Step 1. Open the Settings app. You'll land on the Settings menu.
Step 2. Scroll down this screen until you see Phone, and then tap "Phone." The Phone screen is displayed.
Step 3. Navigate to the Calls section, and then tap "Calls on Other Devices." You'll land on the Calls on Other Devices screen. You can see the list of other Apple devices that will ring whenever your iPhone is near them in the Allow Calls On section.
Step 4. If you don't want any of your other Apple devices to ring when you get a call on your iPhone, tap to toggle off "Allow Calls on Other Devices." Alternatively, if you want some but not all of your other Apple devices to ring when you get a call on your iPhone, you can tap to toggle off those individual devices. Your changes will take effect immediately.
