How to Stop the Windmill & Save the Gnome - Baldur's Gate III [Guide]
7On the west side of the Blighted Village you will find a Windmill with a Gnome tied to it and some Goblins around it. You'll need to first deal with the Goblins - either through Persuasion or battle.
Once the Goblins are gone, head into the Windmill and on the base/ground floor there'll be two switches (they can be hard to see!). Pull the LEFT one that is labeled Brake. If you use the Right one, the Gnome will fling off into nowhere and die.
With the Windmill stopped, untie the Gnome (I mean, I guess you could kill him... you monster). He'll go on his merry way and tell you about his loot... which is in the Cellar! Head into the Cellar at the base of the Windmill to grab his goodies and everything else in there.
