How to Search the Cellar & Answer the Ornate Mirror - Baldur's Gate III [Guide]
4This is threefold:
-Searching the Cellar
-Answering the Mirror
-Obtaining the Necromancy of Thay book/tome
Searching the cellar: To reach the cellar, go to the Waypoint in Blighted Village and enter the building right next to it. Behind the counter is a Wooden Hatch leading to the cellar.
Once inside, you'll want to do two things:
-Use the lever (someone will need to spot it, it's behind some crates)
-Examine the Healer's Log to the left of the lever on a pedestal
Go through the opened path and the mirror is on the platforms to the right. Optionally in this room, examine the Casket at the top for a fight and the Dark Journal, but this is NOT needed to progress!
For the Mirror you want to say:
-Your name (or, with the journal, you can also say that name)
-You're an ally
-HISTORY CHECK:
--Fail: Szass Tam is foul
--Succeed: A foul lich.
-The option involving "wound" (Either Doctor's Journal read, or the one with a question mark)
-An option that is not selfish (IE: Don't mention loved ones)
Once inside, the key is to the West, the gate and book are to the East. There are two traps for the book. Turn Based Mode can help for the Fireball one in the room!
