When you’re streaming or recording with OBS you may need to mute your microphone. This will stop Discord friends and viewers from being able to hear you. Muting your microphone is useful when someone enters your room or there are loud distracting noises. You may also want to mute your microphone to prevent stream snipers from being able to hear when you queue for a game.

Toggle mute allows you to mute your microphone using a keyboard shortcut. Unlike push to mute, the toggle mute option doesn't require you to hold down your selected keybind. Instead toggle mute works like an on/off switch.
