This video will show you how to minimize OBS to system tray. This allows you to hide the OBS icon from your taskbar, and keep it hidden. Hiding OBS frees up more room and can ensure that you don’t accidently open it while streaming.

OBS can be set to always minimize the system tray through the program settings. You can choose to minimize the system tray when minimized, or when started. If you choose to minimize when started, then OBS will always open hidden in your tray. You can access it whenever you want by expanding the system tray icons.
