How to Transfer Photos & Videos on Android Phone to Windows PC (Easy Guide)
Transferring photos and videos from an Android 14 phone to a Windows PC is straightforward, as Android 14 supports standard file transfer protocols and integrates well with Windows. Below are the most effective methods to transfer your media:
Method 1: Using a USB Cable (Most Common)
Connect Your Phone to PC:
Connect your Android 14 phone to your Windows PC using a USB cable.
Swipe down on your phone to open the notification panel and tap the USB option (e.g., "Charging this device via USB").
Select File Transfer or MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) from the USB preferences.
Access Your Phone on PC:
Open File Explorer on your Windows PC (Windows key + E).
Your phone should appear under "This PC" (e.g., "Android" or your device’s model name).
Locate Photos and Videos:
Double-click your phone’s name to access its storage.
Navigate to the DCIM folder (for camera photos/videos) or folders like Pictures, Movies, or Downloads for other media.
Photos are typically in DCIM - Camera, and videos may be in the same folder or a Videos folder.
Transfer Files:
Select the photos and videos you want (hold Ctrl to select multiple files).
Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) them to a folder on your PC, or drag and drop the files.
Safely Disconnect:
After transferring, safely eject your phone by right-clicking its name in File Explorer and selecting Eject (if prompted).
Unplug the USB cable.
