I can tell you 250,000 thrust is too much, the thrusters will break off the bus and fly off like missiles.
The default is 50,000 per thruster.
Got it up to 190,000 in this video. May can get even more before structure failure.
It is possible to edit the beam strengths to keep it from breaking off. May do that another time. Too much faster the bus won't stay on the road. As it is it already has a hard time going straight.

I watched a video earlier someone was using the bus for some crazy beamNG experiments :) I thought I bet he could have a use for more thrusters.
