How to Turn off Dark Mode in Google Maps for Android
46In this video, I'm going to show you how to turn off dark mode in Google Maps for Android. So open the Google Maps app on your phone, tap on your profile picture in the top right of the screen. Towards the bottom of the screen you'll see an option for settings, tap on this. You should know see an option for theme. Tap into this to turn off dark mode. Then select always in light theme then tap on the save button. If you want to go a little further, sometimes your maps might automatically change to dark mode at nighttime. If you want to constantly keep it in the light theme, then go back into theme.
Tap on the blue writing where it says go to navigation settings. Scroll until you get to the option where it says map display and then you should see the option below, which says colour scheme. Just select this to day which will ensure that Google Maps will stay in the light theme all the time.
