How to Turn OFF IMessages on your IPhone (Stop Getting Messages)
To turn off iMessages on your iPhone and stop receiving messages, follow these steps:
Open Settings: Locate and tap the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
Go to Messages: Scroll down and tap on "Messages."
Turn off iMessage: You'll see a toggle switch next to "iMessage." Tap the switch to turn it off. It will change from green (on) to gray (off).
Sign Out of iMessage (Optional):
If you want to sign out of iMessage completely, go back to the main Settings menu.
Tap on your name at the top to open the Apple ID menu.
Tap on "Name, Phone Numbers, Email."
Find your Apple ID email under "Reachable At" and tap "Edit."
Tap the red minus sign next to your Apple ID email, then tap "Delete."
Deregister iMessage (Optional): If you're switching to a non-Apple device, you might want to deregister your phone number from iMessage to ensure you don't miss any messages.
Go to the Deregister iMessage website: selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage.
Follow the instructions to deregister your phone number.
By following these steps, you will no longer receive iMessages on your iPhone. If you want to stop receiving SMS/MMS messages as well, you would need to contact your carrier or block specific contacts.
