How to Turn On Family Sharing Game Library in STEAM (Easy Tutorial)
To enable Family Library Sharing on Steam, follow these steps:
Enable Steam Guard Security:
First, ensure that you have Steam Guard security enabled. You can do this by going to Steam - Settings - Account in the Steam Client.
Activate Family Library Sharing:
Next, enable the sharing feature by navigating to Settings - Family (or in Big Picture mode, go to Settings - Family Library Sharing).
Here, you’ll be able to authorize specific computers and users for sharing.
Authorization Limitations:
You can authorize up to 10 devices at a given time.
Additionally, up to 5 accounts can use your game library on any of your authorized computers.
Online Access Requirement:
Keep in mind that you must be online to access and play games shared with you.
Library Sharing Details:
Libraries are shared and borrowed in their entirety.
Note that some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing due to technical limitations (e.g., games requiring third-party keys or subscriptions).
Single User Access at a Time:
A shared library can only be accessed by one user at a time.
Your Own Access Remains Unaffected:
As the account holder, you can always access and play your games whenever you want.
If another user is already playing one of your games, they’ll be given a few minutes to either purchase the game or quit playing.
