How to turn your Stellar X2 XLR large diaphragm studio cardioid condenser microphone into a wireless vlogging mic
So a bit of a mad video that serves three purposes.
First. A massive apology to Tech Zone Audio Products for being so late with my unboxing and review of their Stellar X2 large diaphragm cardioid studio condenser XLR microphone. I really don't have any excuse, sorry.
Second. Doing something mad with the Stellar X2, as in turning it into a wireless vlogging mic. I've done this by using my modified Saramonic Smartrig XLR phantom power preamp to connect to the X2 via a female to male XLR extender, the Smartrig then powers the Stellar X2 via phantom power and is also the preamplifier. The Smartrig is then connected to the transmitter of a RODE Wireless GO via a male to male 3.5mm jack extender. I then have the receiver from the RODE Wireless GO connected to the 3.5mm mic input on my Sony ZV-1 video camera.
Third. I've used this video to mention some of the very specific videos that I'll be doing with the Tech Zone Stellar X2. One video will be using the Stellar X2 as a microphone with OBS Studio, which it's great at. Another similar use is to use the Stellar X2 as a gaming mic, also great. Then I'll do a video about different ways to power and preamp the Stellar X2 so it can be used with the 3.5mm mic jack input found on many video cameras, cameras, DSLR and Mirrorless stills cameras that also record video. Then there'll be the video showing how to connect and use the Stellar X2 with the new Apple 2021 iPad Pro M1, which will help turn the 2021 iPad Pro M1 into a vlogging and podcasting camera system.
