FIX RODE VideoMic Me-C microphone distortion static buzz noise problems - How to update the Firmware
404Is your RODE VideoMic Me-C making strange noises? Things like static or buzzing and distortion. Or things that sound like RFI radio frequency interference and EMI electro magnetic interference. Then my friend, a simple firmware update to your RODE VideoMic Me-C may be all that it is needed to fix your sound problems with your VideoMic Me-C.
I had some intermittent noise on my RODE VideoMic Me-C when I was using for vlogging on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Android SmartPhone. I thought this sounded like some kind of RFI or EMI, maybe caused by the wireless radio cellular signal from my phone. But when I switched my phone into airplane mode, I was still picking up this interference noise.
In the end I contracted those nice people at RODE Microphones who suggested that I do a firmware to my RODE VideoMic Me, so I did and what do you know, it cleared up and fixed the problem with my RODE VideoMic Me-C USB C vlogging microphone.
So I decided to do this video to show people how to update the firmware on a RODE VideoMic Me-C. Hopefully this will help you if you have similar issues to what I had.
