How to USB BIOS Flash MSI B550 Unify and others using Flashback port
You will need the following items to successfully Flash a new BIOS onto your MSI MEG B550 Unify or other supported MSI boards with USB BIOS flashback feature.

A bare motherboard - in this instance MSI MEG B550 Unify
A spare USB 2.0 or 3.0 flash drive that supports FAT32 (ideally under 64GB)
A working computer with Internet access and a USB type A port
A working PSU with a 24 pin ATX and 4 or 8 pin CPU power (EPS) connection
First remove any needed files and format the USB drive to FAT32
Go to the MSI site for the board and download the appropriate BIOS file
Put the BIOS file only onto the USB stick and rename the file to MSI.ROM (all caps)
Connect the motherboard 24 and 4 or 8 pin EPS connectors
Insert the USB drive into the BIOS flashback port as marked on the IO shield
Press the BIOS Flashback button for a couple on seconds.
The board should power and the Flashback light illuminate
Now wait patiently for around 5 minutes for the process to complete.
When it is done the board will power cycle and the BIOS flashback light will go out and the DBUG LED should be stuck on CPU, this is normal as the CPU is missing.
Build the board up with components and test before fully building in a case.
