How to use a full sized GPU when you got a DELL SFF system!
21- I been meaning to get to this for awhile and finally had the time to give it a try.
- This should work with any gpu but works best with ones that don't require extra power via 6/8pin pcie connectors. Reason being you still need to meet the Gpu's power requirements and need a psu that can handle the systems needs.
- I'm sure there's some performance loss with the use of the cable but i don't think it significant. I couldn't test here for the obvious reason that the gtx 1050 ti wouldn't fit in the system. Might try in another system someday.
- I put a link below for the cable. Note that I didn't exactly aim for quality when i purchased it. In fact I literally brought the cheapest one. I actually picked the cable up awhile ago and payed less then $4 for it so I don't know if a higher quality cable would reduce latency though I think a stronger gpu would be necessary before that became a real concern.
- I placed something under the GTX 1050 TI to prevent it from making contact with the system and causing a short or some sort of feedback.
-Finally sorry for the colors being off in the video but i used my phone instead of my normal recorder because i wanted to the hardware setup plus gameplay without cutting away. The actual game appeared was totally normal.
