Step 1: To open the Calculator app on your iPhone, you can tap the Calculator icon on your Home Screen or in the App Library. Launch Spotlight search to quickly find the app as well.
You can also swipe down from the top-right corner (on iPhone X and later) or swipe up from the bottom (on iPhone 8 and earlier) and tap the Calculator icon.
Simply saying, “Hey Siri, open the Calculator” should also bring up the app.
How To Perform Basic Calculations On iPhone Calculator App:
The default Calculator interface provides basic arithmetic functions:
Tap numbers to enter them. Use +, -, ×, and ÷ for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Select the equals (=) button to get your result.
Press the C (clear) button to delete the last entry. To delete a single digit, swipe left or right on the display.
How To Use Scientific Calculator On iPhone Calculator App:
The iPhone’s Calculator also includes a scientific mode with advanced functions like exponents, logarithms, and trigonometry. To access it:
Tap on the calculator icon in the bottom-left corner. Here, choose the "Scientific" option. The scientific calculator will appear, allowing you to use functions such as sin, cos, tan, log, and more.
To rotate your iPhone to landscape mode, ensure your Portrait Orientation Lock is off in the Control Center.
Copy and Paste Functions On iPhone Calculator App:
You can easily copy and paste numbers. Simply tap and hold the result, then select "Copy". Then, tap and hold the input area, then select "Paste".
You don’t always need to open the Calculator app. Instead, you can long-press the Calculator icon in Control Center to quickly copy the last result.
Accessing Previous Calculations On iPhone Calculator App:
The Calculator app does not have a visible history function for the last 30 days. You can retrieve recent calculations by tapping on the list menu in the top-left corner of the calculator screen.
Tap on "Clear" in the bottom-right corner to delete the history. You can also tap on "Edit" in the bottom-left corner to delete selected calculations from the list.
How To Use Maths Notes On iPhone Calculator App:
Step 1: Once the calculator is open, tap on the calculator icon in the bottom-left corner. Here, choose the "Maths Notes" option. This will open the notes you have saved.
Step 2: Tap on the "New Note" icon in the bottom right corner of the notes page. After the new note opens, select the pen icon from the options available to you in the menu above the keyboard.
Step 3: Next, use your finger to enter the values for any calculation. Finally, enter the "=" (equals) sign and wait for the result, which will come up instantly.
How To Use Convertor On iPhone Calculator App:
Tap on the calculator icon in the bottom-left corner. Here, choose the "Convert" option. This will allow you to perform virtually any conversion. This includes currency, weight, length, speed and more.
How To Add Calculator App Shortcut To Control Center On iPhone:
Step 1: Swipe down from the top of the iPhone to bring up the Control Center. Then, tap and hold on an empty space.
Step 2: Select "Add a Control" and scroll all the way down to the 'Utilities' section. Here, you should see the Calculator app. Tap on it to add it to the Control Center.
Step 3: Tap on an empty space to exit edit mode in the Control Center.
