About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to use Litematica. Our goal is to provide with an in-depth Litematica tutorial covering everything from getting Litematica itself to how to use schematics in Minecraft with Litematica to even how to import Minecraft schematics and paste schematics to start using them in-game.
First things first though, you will need to download and install the Litematica mod. That is covered in the video, and you can find in-depth guides in the description above for every step of the process.
After it is installed, we can continue with the how to use Litematica Tutorial. First things first, you you can open the Litematica menu with the “M” key on your keyboard. This is where you will be able to see all of Litematica’s features.
To save your own schematics though, you will want to start off by getting a stick. This is the took that will allow you to use Litematica’s tools. You can use the Control Key on your keyboard and the scroll wheel on your mouse to switch through the different modes. There are tons of different modes that can be used with Litematica. For making a selection for creating a Minecraft schematic, you will want to use the “Area Selection” tool.
Right-click and left-click on opposite corners of where you are making a selection. You can expand the selection one block at time using ALT and the scroll wheel on your mouse. This can be great for fine tuning a Litematica selection.
To actually make a schematic with Litematica, press the “M” key with an active selection made. Then, click the “Area Selection Browser” button. Select “New Selection”. Name the selection and click “Okay”.
Next, click “Configure” on the selection and quickly go through any of the settings you want to change. Finally, click “Save Schematic” to save it. Just add a name, and you’re good to go.
This schematic is now saved in the “schematics” folder within your .minecraft folder. You can add additional schematics that you download or are given here as well.
To load a schematic in Minecraft that you have added to the schematics folder, get a stick and use Control + your scroll wheel to move to “Schematic Placement” mode.
Then, go to the “M” menu and go into the “Load Schematics” button. Here, you will see all of the schematics in your “schematics” folder. Click on one and press the “Load Schematic” button to load it in-game. From there, you can left click around to move the selection. You can also fine tune the placement block by block with ALT + scroll wheel.
To place a schematic, we will need to change a few settings. First, go to the “M” menu and select the “Configuration Menu”. In the Generic tab, set pasteReplaceBehavior to “All” and in the Hotkeys tab set executeOperation to “K”.
Now, go back in-game and press “K” to paste the schematic in game instantly. You will need cheats enabled in singleplayer or OP on a Minecraft server for this to work. Otherwise, you can build the schematic manually. You can even pull up a material list in-game. We show you exactly how to do this in the video.
With that being said, you now know how to use Litematica in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to add schematics to Litematica, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
