This video will show you how to download and use my YouTube Channel Art Cover Photo as a template in order to make your own proper YouTube Channel Art Cover Photo that falls within the 800 X 600 title safe zone, which of course respects the text safe area for resolutions higher than 800x600 as well as the title safe zone for both mobile viewers as well as those viewing on smart TVs.
This video will also show you how to edit and replace the text in the template using the Google+ Picasa Web Creative Kit, which can be done directly on the website and does not require downloading and installing of additional software.
The template can be downloaded from:
drive.google.com/file/d/0B4GpCp8cqxa6STJ1LXhfZnNXd1k/edit?usp=sharing
NOTE: REMEMBER TO CLICK THE DOWNLOAD ARROW IN THE UPPER LEFT OF THIS PAGE TO DOWNLOAD THIS IMAGE, ELSE THE IMAGE YOU WILL SAVE WILL NOT BE IN THE CORRECT DIMENSIONS.
In the template, the large blocks of text at the top and bottom of the template are intended ONLY for those viewing your YouTube channel on a YouTube-enabled television, and will NOT be seen by computer and mobile viewers. These blocks of text may be replaced at any point (even the black borders) EXCEPT for the area moving past the edges of the blocks of text into the MIDDLE of the screen.
The text block in the MIDDLE of the screen is what ALL viewers will see (television, computer and mobile viewers). In order to stay within the 800x600 safe zone, you must NOT bypass the dimensions of the text block above, below, or to the right of the text block when performing your replacement. In the current font, you have 4 additional character spaces to the left to play around with (any more and your YouTube profile picture will overlap.)
