How to use SUBROUTINES in Battlefield 2042 Logic Editor Part 2 (Custom Parameters)
This is the second of two parts looking at how to implement subroutines in the Portal Logic Editor. In this video I take a look at how to use custom parameters in your subroutines.
I've created a mini game mode for you to take a look at and included the link to the experience below if you want to take a look.
If anyone would like me to do a separate video looking at tracking icons I'd be happy to do that...
This is quite a complicated topic so I've really tried to simplify it in the first part. However, it's worth remembering that this is really for more confident users who want a bit of an introduction. If you are new to Portal and programming then this is probably not the place to start :)
There are so many potential uses for this that it is pretty much impossible to do more than a brief overview in a video - but hopefully you will get what you need from this to get you started.
I'm not entirely sure I have done this topic justice in this video, its really the kind of thing that I would probably want to spend a lot more time on.
If you want to look at the code, the link is below. Make sure you use the Portal web editor to open it and duplicate it to make it yours.
Bear in mind this isnt a complete experience, just an example of how you can utilise subroutines to make your programs more efficient and readable.
Hopefully you enjoy the video, if you do and you haven't already, don't forget to click the subscribe button!
