The most amusing part here is when Picard talks to one of the Malcorian guys about Klingon first contact. Yeah... Picard doesn't wanna be the guy to make first contact with a race like that. Malcorians... at worst would be like the Talarians. Warp-capable, interstellar race... but... tech too weak to be a serious threat most of the time.

Also,,,, we have Riker's way of making Kirk look like a prude. Seriously... he doesn't get as many girls as James Bond.... but.... he gets more than Kirk did.

that DOES leave an interesting option for a follow-up mission hook though...
