Apparently based on some Marvel comic book character, this game follows the adventures of Howard the Duck as he attempts to save 2 of his comrades from the evil Dark Overlord who has kidnapped them and taken them to his fortress on Volcano Island.
The game is divided into 3 stages:
Stage 1: Traverse the island whilst defeating a horde of strange minions that spawn out of mounds of sand in the ground. You must jump on the mounds to flatten them, which stops the minions from spawning.
Stage 2: Fly a microlite over the island into the mouth of the volcano using air currents to aid your movement.
Stage 3: Navigate a crumbling bridge inside the volcano. Stalactites fall from the ceiling of the cave and punch holes in the bridge, which you need to avoid. The overlord is located at the end of the bridge, firing lightning bolts at you and you must shoot him 3 times with your bazooka.
Once complete, simply hit the switch to turn off the volcano and it's game over.
The game has an incredibly long multi-load for such a short game. It retailed for something approaching £10 back in the day and came in one of those larger double-sized cassette boxes that all of the more expensive games tended to do. It's not a bad game, but it certainly didn't warrant the money it cost at the time.
Enjoy!
