So the story goes: this game was originally planned to have some sort of loose plot with episode 1 that gets continued by the other episodes, but at some point in development, the dev was like, nah lol, let's meme. This is why the character just like takes mushrooms and fights zombies partway in. Also there's so much random side stuff the dev programmed into the game that just blows my mind. Yeah sure, let's have a mine cart for 1 level, yeah let's just have some ghosts, sure sentient boulder enemies, why not (and it gets more nuts in episode 3 lol). This game rules.
