HTC Vive Virtual Reality Experience - Wozzmatic Reacts at Overclockers UK 1080p
18So Overclockers UK announced last week that they had setup a VR Experience in their store in Newcastle-under-Lyme here in the UK.
Obviously, it was a no brainer to try it as its only an hours drive away. So I booked a 20 minute slot for myself. Then, I thought, given my wife has been working so much lately it might be a nice trip out with lunch on the way home at a good old English pub. So thats what we did. I took my camcorder and with Overclockers kind permission captured both mine and my wife's experience.
The Session was run on an HTC Vive with full room scale functionality. There were a number of options to choose from and we mostly played in the drawing space although I did try the deep sea experience and also the Zombie game - which I'll be honest and say was a little scary.
This is the second video of me throwing myself into it with more than a little enthusiasm and wonder. It was a fabulous experience and I can only recommend the experience if you get the opportunity to try it!!! I was going to edit this video down to just the reactions bu then realised some of the views of the tool and conversations with the host may be of interest to potential purchasers so its a lot longer than expected. I hope it helps to share the experience in some way! My zombies experience is near the end of the clip!
