391Hands-on review of Huawei's new Matebook 14 and Matebook 13 laptops, two touchscreen Windows 10 notebooks launching in early 2019 across the UK, US and Europe. Here we run through the specs and features of both devices, comparing them to see which is best for you.
Besides the slight size difference, Huawei's laptops sport a similar design and build. You get the same display tech, with a 2160x1440 pixel resolution, along with a platform choice - up to Intel’s 8th generation Core i7 8565U. The Matebook 14 even boasts Nvidia's GeForce MX250 in the most premium model, while the Matebook 13 uses the same MX150 as last year's X Pro.
Both laptops run full Windows 10, and boast the new Huawei Share feature. This allows you to swap files between your Matebook 14 or 13 and your EMUI 9.1 or later smartphone. And the larger notebook boasts better battery life, plus extra ports like a spot of HDMI.
Huawei's Matebook 13 will be available to buy from the end of February 2019, while the Matebook 14 should be released around April. No word on price just yet, that should come soon following the MWC launch.
