Read the description for more details! Testing the difference between the 'Inflicts Poison perk and the 'Poison Cloud' enchantment. The perk is an embedded part of the weapon, therefore enjoys the extra melee damage buffs while the 'poison cloud' only enjoys the 'Poison Focus', power of the weapon and its level to increase its damage.

This is why you can find weapons that have BOTH 'Inflicts Posion' and 'Poison Cloud', one embedded perk the other enchantment.

The inflicts poison damage is 1/5 of the damage of the weapon, which explains why it's so powerful on the Anchor that has around 2 million-based damage at power 250 (results in 400K tick poison damage).

The inflict poison is slower but ticks for longer (11 ticks vs 8).

The inflict enjoy the damage multiplication of armor perks, and some other damage amplifying enchantments, potions, and artifacts (not all).

It's a much more powerful option as a perk compared to the poison cloud!
