This is the beginning of the end for Humankind, and finally I can let loose on my closing thoughts of the game. In what has turned into a bit of a "won run" already, I push as hard as I can to see just how far systems will break. So while we can research an entire space program to Mars in a turn, we can also solve all of climate change (despite only 1 player making pollution) for 400 gold. It's...a mess. There are parts of Humankind that work so well, and then there's stuff like this that is just unfinished. The endgame here should not take less than an hour for me to complete, but here we are.

There's good potential here, but that potential needs to be realized. Check this one out on Gamepass if you can.



Humankind is a strategic turn based 4X where the goal is to do everything you can to be the greatest civilization the world has ever known. That could be through war, through culture, or just by firing rockets off into space. There are many avenues to take as you play through the game, weaving from culture to culture and adjusting accordingly. But at the end of the day, the choices are for you to make. Will you lead humanity to salvation, or will everyone else be forced to bend the knee. It's not unlike Civilization, but Amplitude Studio's Magnum Opus carries itself on its own two legs. In this series, we'll see how far we can run with it.
