AMD is working on DDR5 memory, and is trying to beat Intel to the punch on DDR5. AMD is also working on near-memory for CPUs (HBM). Other news items include the RX500X being incredibly boring, challenges with the 7nm and 5nm process, FutureMark's name change to UL Benchmarks, security patches for Spectre and Meltdown, and more.
